Happy New Year

Great joy is in the hearts of most citizens of the United States today, because this is a new day and a new year. Psychologically people desire to have a new beginning, a time when everything can be started anew. Even though and change of year is not a divine dispensation under the order and command of the Lord, yet in the mind of most people a new era begins in their lives.

Let us use this opportunity to add to our faith, grow in grace, and humble ourselves under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, giving appropriate time over to Bible reading and study and meditating on the word of Godso that sin may not get a hold on our lives to bring us down to the realm of the carnal mind.

God bless everyone through this new year. May God give his churches the wisdom to make good decisions, and may our preachers continue to preach the word of God alone without any addition of tradition or fables.

Our Church

First Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church. It is not Protestant nor Reformed. We stress local church teaching and believe in salvation completely by grace through faith. The Bible we use is the King James Version.
